I used to stare at this picture for hours of my mom back when I was about 7-17 years of age. When this photo was taken, she was on her honeymoon with my father. They will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on May 15th of this year. She was 21 years old in 1971. She really had absolutely no idea about fashion at all, and many times has told me so. It is because of her style though that I was always fascinated with vintage clothing. I also always wanted long hair like her. For a person to not even realize she was stylish is what is amazing. I used to always draw photos of myself wearing this outfit too. She rocked those Brown velvet overall shorts with go-go boots!!
